Clematis Szczepan Marczyński, Władysław Piotrowski Container Nursery is an innovatively organized nursery with high-tech equipment. From the beginning we have always placed a strong emphasis on the latest solutions, effective systems and production equipment. We pride ourselves on producing a wide assortment of high quality plants and on providing comprehensive and reliable information about them. During the over 20 years of our existence we have gained a strong position both on the Polish and the international market. We offer wholesale in Poland and export our plants to 34 countries worldwide, including the USA, Japan, South Korea and China. Articles and press notes about our nursery and the plants have appeared in the press in over a dozen of countries around the world.
Clematis Sz. Marczyński, W. Piotrowski Container Nursery was the first nursery in Poland since 1939 built on the basis of a professional, specialist project of the entire nursery farm. We have implemented the newest irrigation systems, modern insulated double-polyethylene greenhouses with the air blown in between the two layers, movable doors, automatic shading in summer and thermo-insulating curtains in winter. To improve significantly the quality of the plants in spring, we use special gas heaters in plastic tunnels where plants wintering in containers are kept. All this, combined with professional, continually trained staff enables us to provide the highest quality plants to our customers. The nursery implements the ISO 9001-2000 quality management system, certified by TŰV Rheinland agency.
We have received numerous visits from nurserymen, students and gardening apprentices from Poland, Germany, Holland, Estonia, Finland, Great Britain, Russia. Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the USA, Japan and Mexico.

The plants produced in the nursery have been presented at many Polish and foreign expositions, e.g. in Holland, Germany, Great Britain, France, Russia, the Czech Republic and Hungary. They have won numerous prizes and awards, for instance the medals for new Clematis cultivars at the Plantarium 2002 in Boskoop, Holland ( the golden medal for 'Barbara', the silver for 'Julka' and the bronze for 'Hania') and at the Plantarium 2005 (the golden medal to 'Jerzy Popiełuszko' and 'Lech Wałęsa', the silver medal for 'Solidarność' and the bronze medal for 'Polonez').
The majority of species and cultivars produced in the nursery have been introduced to cultivation and to the market in Poland for the first time, and over twenty of them in Europe. We have also popularized worldwide over a dozen of polish climbing plants bred, among others, by the Warsaw Jesuit, Brother Stefan Franczak, and Władysław Noll.
Our offer is constantly expanding – currently, there are another dozen or so newly bred Clematis cultivars ready to be introduced to the market, three of which – 'Królowa Jadwiga' (Queen Jadwiga), 'Vistula' and 'Oberek' – will have their world premiere during this year’s "Zieleń to Życie" (Green is Life) International Exposition at the end of August in Warsaw. Our publications and the constantly updated, content rich website www.clematis.com.pl help popularize the knowledge about climbers and their applications in private gardens and public green space.
