A superb species with rich golden-orange flowers, borne in clusters in June and July, followed by orange fruits. Reaches a height of 5m with 1-2m of annual growth. Requires fresh fertile soil and a sheltered site. In May it's often subject to attack by aphides, especially when grown in dry and sunny positions. Well suited for scrambling over arbors, pergolas and other supports.
