A charming cultivar with a moderate growth rate. Exceptionally large bicolor flowers have petunia red or purple violet sepals with a carmine central stripe and wavy edges. Purple red stamens. Only light pruning is required. In full sun flowers fade and it ceases blooming very quickly.
Excellent for fences, arbors, trellises and poles. It can also be grown over natural supports such as coniferous or deciduous bushes and dwarf shrubs that don’t require hard pruning. Performs well in containers.

Raised by G. R. Jackman, United Kingdom.
Introduced in 1949.
