An early flowering variety with graceful, campanulate rose-red flowers with greenish-white staminodes. Blooms in April-May, and again in July-September. From June till autumn it covers with a decorative, silky, fluffy seed heads. A healthy cultivar with low requirements. Ideal for growing over fences, walls, or scrambling over rocks, old stumps, shrubs and conifers. Makes good ground cover.Raised by E. Markham, United Kingdom. Introduced in 1952.
