A vigorous and immune to diseases climber with low requirements. Dainty, small, violet flowers consisting of four sepals are profusely borne on slender stalks from June to July. A charming species suitable for growing over tall supports, trees and shrubs. It also makes good ground cover. Prefers sunny spots. Looks beautifully when planted against a bright background. A native to southern Europe.
