A healthy and very free-flowering cultivar growing up to 3m. Charming, wine-red, semi-nodding flowers with delicately veined tepals, borne from July to September. Greenish-yellow anthers. It needs a site in full sun, but has low soil requirements. Best planted near small trees or shrubs, arbors and various supports. It may be used as ground cover.Raised by F. Morel, France. Introduced in 1939.
