A very hardy and undemanding selected seedling of Clematis macropetala. Charming semi-double pale blue flowers are borne profusely in the early spring on old wood. Some flowers continue to appear throughout the summer. Decorative seedheads adorn the plant in summer and autumn.
Ideal for growing over fences, walls, rocks and old trunks. Particularly useful for growing through small trees and deciduous or coniferous shrubs. Makes good ground cover, suitable for container growing.

Raised by G. R. Jackman, United Kingdom.
Introduced in 1956.
