A graceful climber with strongly fragrant flowers from July to September. Dark bluish-violet sepals nicely contrast with long creamy stamens. Stems are raised, non-clinging (as in climbing rose). When no support is provided, it scrambles over the ground. Looks lovely when intermingled with another plants. A hardy cultivar, tolerant of mediocre, permeable soils. It doesn’t like saturation.
Useful for growing through perennials or shrubs. On account of its sweet scent it’s ideal for planting near windows, park benches and other popular places of social gatherings.
