An aptly named cultivar with delicate pale pink semi-double flowers and light yellow stamens bearing a close resemblance to a ballet dancer' skirt. Blooms profusely on old wood in early spring, but some flowers continue to appear throughout the summer. In summer and autumn decorative seedheads develop. Very hardy and undemanding.
Ideal for growing over fences, walls, rocks and old trunks. It can clamber through small trees and deciduous or coniferous shrubs and is particularly suitable for planting at the base of vigorous vines that tend to develop flowers in the upper parts of a plant (e.g. Wisteria, Celastrus or Clematis montana). Makes good ground cover, suitable for container growing.

Raised by S. Zubrowski, Canada 1981.
