A herbaceous cultivar with slender, non-clinging stems up to 1.5m long that can either grow through other plants or ramble on the ground. Intensely fragrant flowers, borne from July to September, are 4 cm across and have 4-5 narrow tepals, white at the base and gradually turning pale violet towards the tips. Pale yellow anthers on creamy filaments.
Particularly useful for growing through perennials or small shrubs.
Raised by Russell V. Prichard, Australia. Introduced in 1950.
