An American, early blooming prolific female cultivar bearing tasty fruits (Mini Kiwi): sweet, with a honey flavour and aroma, and a smooth, edible skin. Medium-sized roundish berries, with a reddish-brown bloom when in full sun, ripen during September and October. After maturing they soften quickly. It starts bearing fruit in its third or fourth year after planting.
Sustains frosts up to –30oC. Warm sheltered site and moderately moist, fertile soil are needed.
Actinidia climb by twining, it’s suitable for growing over various supports, arbours, pergolas and trellises or may be trained on wires stretched across the poles.

An ornamental, bearing tasty fruit (Mini Kiwi) climber that will adorn any garden. A rampant growing (up to 4m tall), dioecious, self-pollinating cultivar with a bit less decorative foliage than that of the other varieties. Blooms in June. In order to bear fruit a plant requires 150 days without frost. Berries ripen in October. If gathered unripe, they soften and mature when put in a bag together with fruit producing ethylene, e.g. apples, and kept at room temperature. It starts yielding fruit in the second, third year after planting. Sustains frosts up to around –25oC.
Pruning is best done in late autumn or winter (before the vegetation period), or in summer after the stems have partially grown thick and woody; otherwise the vine will bleed sap.

A Japanese self-pollinating form with tasty lemon-flavoured durable fruit (Mini Kiwi) ripening in late September-October. Oval berries, about 2 cm long and 1,5 cm across can be eaten unpeeled. It starts setting fruit in the 2nd-3rd year after planting. It sustains frost down to –22oC. The plant requires a warm, sunny, sheltered site and moist fertile well-drained soil.
Twining stems. It’s suitable for growing up various supports, arbours, pergolas and wire meshes. It can also be trained along the wires stretched between the pylons.

A very prolific, Ukrainian, red-berried female cultivar with tasty, durable fruit (Mini Kiwi) that ripen from late September to October. The berries are oval, about 3.5cm long and 2.5cm across, purple red when in full sun, and can be eaten unpeeled. They start appearing in the third – fourth year after planting. It tolerates temperatures down to -28oC. Requires a warm, sheltered site in full sun and moist, well-drained, fertile soil. In order to set and bear fruit, it needs a male form of the same species in the vicinity (i.e. a male form ‘Weiki’). Twining stems. Suitable for growing up various supports, arbours, pergolas and trellises. It can also be trained along a wire stretched between poles. Actinidia arguta 'Rogów'
Polish, prolific female form selected at Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) Arboretum in Rogów. It produces tasty oval berries, 3 cm long and 2 cm wide (Mini Kiwi), with edible skin. Fruits ripen in late September – October. It starts bearing fruit in the third or fourth year after planting. Sustains frosts down to -28oC. It requires a warm, sunny, sheltered site with fertile, moist but well drained soil. It needs a male form of the same species (e.g. a male ‘Weiki’) in proximity in order to get pollinated and set fruit.
It has twining stems and is suitable for growing on various supports, arbours, pergolas and wire fences. It can also be trained along wires drawn between poles.

Actinidia kolomikta 'Adam' , male
A Polish male variety, remarkable on account of its variegated foliage. Leaves, white-green in May, become dramatically splashed with pink in June. The variegation appears in its second, third year after planting and is more prominent on leaves in full sun. Small, white with yellow stamens flowers, slightly lemon scented, opening in May. A good pollinator for female and bisexual plants of the genus Actinidia kolomikta. It grows up to 3-4m tall and is generally hardy.
Pruning is best done in late autumn or winter (before the vegetation period), or in summer after the stems have partially grown thick and woody; otherwise the vine will bleed sap.
