Small, nodding violet-blue flowers, bell-shaped at first and fully opening in the midst of bloom, June-September. A hardy variety from Diversifolia Group, raised as a hybrid of C. integrifolia x C. viticella. Stems, growing up to 2m, don’t cling to supports, but they can lean against them. They can be either stimulated to grow higher with the help of some string or wire, or left to scramble at ground level. A beautiful semi-herbaceous variety ideal for scrambling through perennials and shrubs. Suitable for growing on terraces or as ground cover.Raised by Dr F. L. Skinner, Canada 1947.
