A valuable, hardy and undemanding shrub recommended for all types of home gardens. It copes well in urban conditions.

WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE: Lanceolate leaves. The upper side of the leaves is green, the bottom - silvery white with brown spots. Small flowers (1 cm diameter), numerous, pale yellow with a long tube, fragrant, melliferous. Flowering from the end of April and in May. Yellow fruits, edible and healthy, small (1 cm in diameter) but very numerous, densely cover the shoots; ripen in August and September. The yield is more plentiful when at least two cultivars from the POINTILLA® series grow next to each other.

HOW IT GROWS: A shrub of spreading, irregular habit. Reaches 2-3.5 m in height; grows slowly (0.5 m per year).

WHERE TO PLANT: It thrives in sunny and warm locations, on well-drained, slightly acidic or alkaline soils. It tolerates drought and air pollution. Sufficiently hardy (zone 6-9).

HOW TO PLANT AND CARE: Before planting, immerse the potted plant in a water-filled container for 10-30 min. Place the plant in a 60 x 60 x 60 cm pit, with a 10-cm layer of well-rotten manure at the bottom. Fill the pit with fertile compost soil.  Flatten the ground around the base of the plant and cover with bark mulch. Place the plant in the ground at the same depth as it was in the pot. Fertilize from April and water according to the needs during vegetation season. Regular pruning is not necessary. After a few years, when the plant thickens considerably, a thinning may be required.  Excessive pruning reduces the yield.

HOW TO USE: A universal plant suitable for planting in home gardens and park settings. It copes very well in urban environment. Fruit contains, among others, fatty acids, microelements, vitamins (A, C, E) and amino acids. They are also a source of lycopene – a substance of health-promoting properties.
