A stunning variety with bright pink, outward facing, tulip-shaped flowers, July-August. During autumn and winter the plant is adorned with silky seed heads. It clings to a support by means of curling petioles. Suitable for growing over arbors, pergolas, various supports (such as trellises and poles) and fences. It can clamber over natural supports such as small trees and shrubs. Best grown in a sheltered, sunny and warm position, through gray or silver leaved shrubs. It’s a perennial, its previous year’s shoots tend to die down completely, and therefore the plant should be hard-pruned close to the ground in March.
