A vigorous and free-flowering cultivar. Dark, almost black, deep violet purple flowers with purple anthers on creamy filaments are borne in great profusion from the end of June to September. Very undemanding, will succeed in any position. Suitable for fences, arbors, trellises, poles and other garden supports. It can also be grown over natural supports such as coniferous or deciduous bushes and dwarf shrubs. Gives a spectacular display when planted with yellow leafed or yellow flowered plants playing off against its great depth of color.
