A new Polish variety bred by Szczepan Marczyński, with attractive, large, pale lilac-pink flowers that are semi-double, double, and single.

WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE: Large flowers, semi-double and double in spring, single in summer, 16–18 cm in diameter. Composed of 50–60 pale lilac-pink sepals with darker edges. Outer sepals have reddish tips. Sepals are elliptical, sharply pointed with drooping tips; inner sepals are irregular and twisted. Stamens have burgundy anthers on cream filaments. Main flowering period is May–June (semi-double and double flowers), with single flowers blooming again in August–September. Leaves are dark green, pointed, simple or ternate

HOW IT GROWS: A climber; climbs using leaf petioles. Grows moderately strongly, reaching 1.8–2.0 m in height.

WHERE TO PLANT: Prefers sunny locations. Grows well in fertile, well-drained soils, but will tolerate most average soils if improved. Soil pH should be neutral to slightly acidic. Winterhardy (zones 4–9).

HOW TO PLANT AND MAINTAIN: Plant in a hole (60 × 60 × 60 cm) filled with fertile soil and a 10 cm drainage layer at the bottom. Set 5–10 cm deeper than it grew in the container (planting tutorial). Requires light pruning. In late February to early March, remove dead stems and trim living ones: in the first year, cut to 30 cm above ground just above strong buds; second year – to 70 cm; in the following years – to 150 cm (pruning tutorial). In mid-April, apply a slow-release fertilizer (e.g., Osmocote 5–6M). Water during the growing season.

HOW TO APPLY: Recommended for home gardens, to be planted on free-standing or wall-mounted supports.
